Prof. Ben is quadruple-board certified by American Boards and Colleges in General Pediatrics, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Clinical Informatics, and Healthcare Management. A recipient of multiple funding grants, he has authored/presented more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific papers, book chapters, and research abstracts, excluding case reports; of the awards he has received, his Faculty Teacher of the Year award is one of his most cherished. At The View Hospital, he also serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer; prior to joining The View Hospital, he served in healthcare leadership and management positions in Qatar and the United States. He earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University (USA), Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins (USA), and Masters of Science in Clinical Research from Emory University (USA), with clinical graduations from the Brown University pediatrics residency program (USA) and Emory University neonatology fellowship program (USA). He also serves as a member of the Certifying Commission in Medical Management (USA), certified instructor mentor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (USA) and STABLE Program, associate editor of the journal Case Reports in Perinatal Medicine, and editorial board member of the Journal of Perinatal Medicine.
