Emergency Medicine

The Emergency Department provides emergency care to the community twenty-four hours a day. It is directed by Western board-certified consultant emergency physicians and staffed with DHP-qualified physicians and registered nurses.

It provides evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages and levels of illness, with patient care services provided in an array of service areas, including triage, acute medical, procedural, resuscitation, gynecologic, bariatric, and negative pressure isolation rooms. Low acuity or urgent care services are provided in the Outpatient Department during working hours and in the Emergency Department afterhours and weekends.
