Dr. Rabah Elias Laoun is a distinguished obstetrician and gynecologist with over 23 years of experience in the United States and Qatar. As a Senior Attending Physician and Consultant, he has significantly advanced the specialty, making notable contributions to patient care, leadership, innovation, mentorship, and clinical excellence. Dr. Rabah, a multiple award winner, was voted "Best Doctor" in Miami, Florida, for his teaching and compassionate patient care.
Educated at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, Dr. Rabah holds prestigious titles, including Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Before joining The View Hospital as a Senior Consultant, Dr. Rabah served as Medical Director and Labor and Delivery Lead at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and in Qatar for the past nine years.
Dr. Rabah Laoun provides evidence-based care in Gynecologic and Obstetric conditions for both high and low-risk populations across various clinical settings. He specializes in providing an exceptional experience for all obstetrics patients, including but not limited to VIP/VVIP obstetric patients. His expertise covers the full spectrum of obstetrical care, from low-risk pregnancies to those complicated by preterm labor, hypertension, previous cesarean section, diabetes, twins, and other medical issues. His services encompass prenatal care, labor and delivery management, postpartum care, women’s health wellness, family planning, and gynecological disease. Throughout his career, he has led multiple committees at organizational and national levels, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and quality, particularly in women’s health informatics.
He has contributed to academic and teaching endeavors at Miami and Qatar Weill Cornell Medical School. Additionally, he trains faculty in Obstetrics Basic and Advanced Life Support and newborn male circumcision and participates in research, including placental mesenchymal stem cell studies.
Dr. Rabah is also involved in outreach initiatives, advocating for universal breastfeeding, promoting infant safe sleep and car safety, and supporting the healthy mother and infant journey.
