Dr. Robert Birkinshaw is a senior consultant in Emergency Medicine with over 30 years of experience. He obtained his MB. ChB. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Leeds University, UK, and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians London (MRCP UK) and a fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine London (FRCEM). He holds the prestigious UK Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Emergency Medicine (CCST).
Throughout his career, Dr. Robert has amassed a wealth of expertise in all aspects of Emergency Medicine. He initially trained in Emergency Medicine at Leeds and Manchester, UK, before serving as a consultant in Emergency Medicine in Yorkshire, UK, for 21 years. More recently, he ventured to Qatar, where he has spent the last 2 years as a senior consultant.
Dr. Robert’s dedication to medical education and patient care is evident through his roles as Training Program Director for Health Education England during his final 3 years in the UK and as an examiner for the Royal College. He also serves as Course Director and Instructor for both Advanced Life Support and Advanced Pediatric Life Support, further highlighting his commitment to enhancing emergency medical care.
