Dr Tabinda Dugal, a graduate of King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan with MBBS degree and later obtained her MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. She completed a Certificate of Specialist Training in General Internal Medicine and specialized in Endocrinology at the Southwest Thames Deanery in London, gaining her Specialist Certification in 2008. Since 2008, Dr. Tabinda has been a consultant Endocrinologist in the NHS, beginning in London and moving to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in 2010.
Dr. Tabinda’s expertise includes a range of endocrine disorders, such as thyroid and adrenal issues, amenorrhea, and transition endocrinology. In obesity management, she offers evaluations for both surgical and non-surgical options. She has a focus on women's postmenopausal health, covering osteoporosis, hormone replacement therapy, chronic fatigue, and weight management.
Dr. Tabinda is experienced in managing both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, utilizing advanced treatments like sensors and pumps, with a particular focus on weight management. Additionally, she is skilled in treating rare and neuroendocrine disorders, as well as resistant hypertension, with an emphasis on adolescent cancer survivors' healthcare.
From 2013 to 2020, Dr. Tabinda led the Cornwall Area Prescribing Committee and has a keen interest in pharmacology and pharmacokinetics. She is an active member of the Pakistan Endocrine Society and the British Diabetes and Endocrine Society. Her contributions to medical guidelines have been recognized, and she received a Clinical Excellence award in the NHS in 2019. Dr. Tabinda is also known for her contributions as an author and speaker at national and international medical conferences.
