Dr. Waleed Aljanabi is a highly experienced Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) consultant with over 22 years of practice. Currently, he serves as an ENT Consultant at The View Hospital, where he applies his expertise in various aspects of otolaryngology. Dr. Waleed is a national member of the Swedish Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and has progressed from a General Practitioner to an Assistant Physician to his current role since 2015.
Dr. Waleed received his bachelor's degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Baghdad in 1999. He obtained his medical license in Sweden in 2009 and specialized in Otorhinolaryngology in 2014. Additionally, he completed a year of training at Sahlgrenska University Hospital's E.N.T Department and served on the Swedish board at Norra Älvsborg County Hospital (NAL) from 2009-2014.
His areas of expertise include Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), head and neck tumor surgery, and airway emergency management. He is proficient in various types of endoscopies and managing emergencies related to otolaryngological conditions. Dr. Waleed has extensive experience in treating both benign and malignant head and neck cancers, excelling in surgical procedures such as Parotidectomy and Submandibular gland resection, as well as skin cancer surgeries on the face. He has also performed numerous common operations such as Tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, Grommet, septoplasty, and nasal polypectomy.
Prior to joining The View Hospital, Dr. Waleed managed a private practice clinic alongside his duties at the ENT department at Mälar Hospital in Eskilstuna, Sweden. He was also an ENT consultant at the Otolaryngology Department in NAL Hospital, Trollhattan, Sweden, from 2009 to 2021. Throughout his career, Dr. Waleed has demonstrated unwavering dedication to patient care and continuous professional development.
