Nasser Al Naimi has been at the forefront of driving Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC)
transformative journey towards Person-Centered Care (PCC). As the Chief of Patient
Experience, Nasser has successfully led the implementation of various strategic and
operational programs that have enhanced patient experience and fostered staff
engagement through the Center for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement (CPESE).

In his current role as Chief of Patient Experience, HMC has shifted from a patient-
centered approach to one that is truly person-centered. Nasser’s commitment to PCC is
evident in CPESE’s efforts to achieve Certification for Excellence in Person-Centered
Care across nine HMC facilities. These include the Ambulatory Care Center,
Communicable Disease Center, Home Healthcare Services, Private Nursing Services,
Enaya Specialized Care Center, Women’s Wellness and Research Center, Heart Hospital,
Al Wakra Hospital, and the Emergency Department at Hamad General Hospital. Each
facility has developed initiatives and programs based on the core principles of PCC.

His strong background and extensive management experience have given him the
opportunity to lead several corporate and nationwide programs. Nasser was appointed by
the Ministry of Public Health as chair of 16000 Call Center for Healthcare Sector Services,
mandated to provide virtual customer service during the global pandemic. Recently, he
was appointed as Outcome Lead of the National Health Strategy 2024-2030.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Nasser led several projects including the
National Patient Safety Collaborative (NPSC), the National Value Improvement
Collaborative (NVIC), the Flow Collaborative, Charities Collaboration Program, including
but not limited to partnerships with Qatar Charity, Qatar National Library (QNL), and Qatar
University.

Through his leadership, Nasser has helped transform HMC into an organization where
PCC is at the heart of every decision, ensuring that care is not just about treating illness
but about enhancing the overall wellness and experience of every patient and their
families. His holistic approach to healthcare, which emphasizes both patient and staff
well-being, continues to elevate HMC’s position as a leader in person-centered care
across the region.

Nasser’s expertise comes from immersive study of health systems across the world and
has applied these learnings to design and service improvements across HMC.
